Morning Light
Published in Hardcover by DeVorss & Company (November, 1957)
Average review score:

Nice Little Book
Awaken to LifeSomeone recommended readings from White Eagle, a symbol of St. John and so do I. Morning Light sounded like a refreshing book to begin with. First published in 1957 this is definitely a timeless piece of writing. The book goes into beautifully simple examples of living in pure love and light as taught to us by Jesus. Within the heart of life itself we find love and we are on this earth-path ourselves to remember again the feeling we created so long ago. When we make the time to go within we can see the light and believe and trust because it is within us. The planet is in great need of healing now and once we can heal ourselves the white light energy can be shared and we will be reunited in the connection of oneness. Morning Light reaffirms the truth and possibilities you can awaken to in life.

The Music of The Eagles Made Easy for Guitar
Published in Mass Market Paperback by Warner Brothers Publications (01 May, 1983)
Average review score:

Very good beginner bookThis book is a collection of songs that can be played by a novice with about 3 to 6 months of guitar. It is geared to the 30+ age group, I dought that a younger person would get the benifit of already knowing how the songs are suppose to sound, they just don't get that much play anymore, with the exception of Hotel California, which is always on Classic Rock stations.

Take it easyI've only been taking guitar lessons for 4 months but I was getting bored with the songs in my lesson book. I wanted something more fun to play, but it had to be EASY. Some books claim to be easy; this one really is! Lots of fun, familiar songs that a beginner can handle.

Politics, An Introduction to Democratic Government
Published in Paperback by Broadview Press (19 February, 1999)
Average review score:

an introduction to governmentEagles and Johnston have constructed a great text for an introduction into government. This text discusses parliamentary government, bicameralism, federalism, separation of powers, totalitarianism, organized interests, elections, etc... However, this book is probably not suitable for a student with an existing knowledge of politics and the United States government.
Beautifully Complete and ComprehensiveAfter years of writing political theory, this book was supposed to be for me a simple reference 'just in case'. I found myself scouring it again and again, for it superbly filled out those little pockets of ignorance which are intrinsic to the vast study of democracy. The book is comprehensive enough to mention and guide the reader through the basics of nearly every aspect of government. Where it leaves off, a reading-list is given, further guiding the curious into the next levels of study. I feel extremely lucky to have found this book, and this after majoring in Politics, after receiving a law degree, and after years of private study and thought. If only I could have found it sooner, say, in college. Well, better late than never.

The Raptor Almanac: A Comprehensive Guide to Eagles, Hawks, and Falcons
Published in Paperback by The Lyons Press (September, 2000)
Average review score:

A clarification from the authorPotential buyers need to be aware that this volume is a reissue of my 1996 book "Raptors: The Birds of Prey," which the publisher has released with a new title and cover art, but with no changes to the content. I am embarrassed to see that they have promoted it as though it was a new book; while I'm pleased the book is again in print, I believe they should have been more forthright in making clear that it is a reissue instead of an entirely new work -- Scott Weidensaul. (Ignore the star rating, please -- the review would not post without it.)
Packed with fine details any avid birder will relishThis exquisite guide will find a home in any public library and many a personal library: it covers over 300 species of raptors, blending the latest natural history facts and scientific research with photos and details of the birds in nature. From population and distribution statistics to accounts of items recovered from nests and nesting habits, Raptor Almanac is packed with fine details any avid birder will relish.

The Stork Club: A Novel (Eagle Large Print)
Published in Hardcover by John Curley & Assoc (November, 1993)
Average review score:

Very Interesting StoryI was very caught up in the different lives of the Characters in The Stork Club which is a therapy group that is for people with children in non-traditional homes. Each individual and couple has a different story and the author takes you through each one. You are told how they made the decision that brought them to The Stork Club. A very modern and interesting story.
Emotional and very good!!!This book is a very emotional and somewhat sad story. It focuses on people who want or have children and is very cute and sad in some parts. A good rainy day book to curl up with.

The Trojan Horse: How the Greeks Won the War
Published in Library Binding by Bt Bound (October, 1999)
Average review score:

ReviewThis is about King Spartas and his wife, Helena. Helena runs off with a Trojan man and she falls in love with him. This angers the king so he gathers an army of Greek troops too to go retrieve his wife. The Greeks made a plan to get into the city of troy and take Helena from the Trojans. They built a huge wooden horse and they set it outside the shores of troy. Once it was inside the city, the Greek troops that were hiding inside came out and attacked the city of Troy. They ended up winning the battle and getting the girl back.
I think this book did a really good job at describing the events that took place in the battle to get Helena back. I think it is a good book for children to read cause it can tell them about the story while keeping their attention. I think a lot of books that are about mythology do not good a good job in that aspect but this one did. I think the author was trying to write a book about the Trojan wars that would really grab a child's attention and this one does.

good history resourceThis step into reading book is geared for 2-4 grades. The chapters are short and fully illustrated. The sentences are kept short but the story still remains interesting. There is a pronunciation guide at the back of the book for those unusual names like Menelaus. Great reading for a unit study on Ancient Greece.

Yellow 10: The Story of Fw 190 D-13/R11 W.Nr. 836017 (Library of Eagles 2)
Published in Paperback by Eagle Editions Ltd. (February, 2000)
Average review score:

Th story of an ultra-rare Wurger. You've got to be a WW2 aviation enthusiast to appreciate this reference work, otherwise it's a bit dry. The "Wurger" name means "butcher bird" and describes this aircraft type's efficiency as a bomber killer. This model was an advanced model which was among the finest fighter planes of the war, if not the best. At war's end, the "yellow 10" was brought to the U.S. and eventually fell on hard times. It's low point was sitting out in the open, vulnerable to the elements and severe vandalism. The story of it's resurrection to the star display at a fighter museum is well documented. But you've go to enjoy the details! 89 pages and lots of very good photographs (both wartime and restoration process), mostly B & W though.
Superlative treatmentYou have to really be into your subject to appreciate this. A history of the Champlin Fighter Museum's Dora. Superb Tullis artwork and the story of one mans passion for a Luftwaffe fighter with something of a chequered history. Superb analysis of the various Dora variants..and this was one of the rarest.

Ann Arbor: Visions of the Eagle
Published in Hardcover by Eyry of the Eagle Pub (June, 2003)
Average review score:

Excellent for Ann Arborites and visitors!!Contains some of the most beautiful photos I've seen of our picturesque town. I grew up in Ann Arbor and now live in nearby Saline, and found most of the places I was looking for. Dale Fisher, being a local photographer, has captured all that we love about this diverse town. The book does an excellent job of covering many areas of Ann Arbor, as well as the surrounding communities. Makes a great gift for graduations, birthdays, or any occasion.
While "The Quiet Mind" only offers sayings and brief passages, this book goes into more depth... discussing miracles as manifistations of the power of the Light, the idea that life is governed by "law", the secret of perfect health, the concept that there really is no death... so therefore there is no seperation from our loved ones, etc.
This book is part of a series of books and therefore covers only a few topics and is very short (62 pages). For it's modest price I would recommend it... but if you really want a "classic"... read "The Quiet Mind" instead.
